title: It's all because of Jesus I'm alive
School has been pretty tiring lately. And despite the work not being in full swing yet, I'm kinda busy. And lacking sleep. The usual school feeling.
Had our touch rugby training early on Saturday morning. It was fun; it was warm-ups, then basic ball-handling techniques. Many of us aren't used to the oval-shaped ball so we really needed that haha! The batchmates are fun and I really hope we'll have a great 1 and a half years together (:
I just got an email from Grace. The child we sponsored as a class last year fell sick and passed away. I was so shocked when I read the email and it just reminds me of how ephemeral life can be. And her just being married and all, though we are the same age. I just hope that she is in a better place somewhere now.

Today during History tutorial I realised the importance of always reading your notes COMPLETELY before going for the lesson.
On a lighter note, our class is having Soft Toy week. LOL.

title: The Take 5 SANDsation
Life has been...not too busy, I guess, but eventful. Take 5 on Friday was great fun! I mean who gets to celebrate CNY etc at a beach in Sentosa as a school right. Haha. It's largely up to us to make it fun though! Going with the OG was the bomb!
There were people who just sat around, but we signed up for handball and captain's ball (which we didn't get to play in the end -.-). Handball was really really fun; I've never really played a proper game of handball before. In between games we played frisbee :D And Gwyneth and I actually played a game of soccer because one of Jamal's good friends' team needed a girl. Lol.
On the monorail. At 7am :OOOO This is the earliest I've ever been to Sentosa!

And Gwyneth brought Vday gifts for everyone! So did Ryan. As for me, I'm still labouring over the Vday + thanks-for-being-my-OG-mate notes haha!

The stalls/booths before the event! Everything was free :O

Waiting for handball to begin...

The 100 Plus man! I had to take a picture :D

Gulshan took this from his great height. Haha (:

With Jerald and Andrea!

Pris and Sam (:

The stage.

Haha I knocked out one of the '5's on the floats unintentionally when I threw a ball.

Florence!

My cool hair. :D

OG notez! I wanted to finish them by Take 5, but as you can see, that was unrealistic. HAHAAA.

Ah man! No more holidays till the March hols. In a way, I can't wait for CCA to start!

title: And it spreads like a cool relief
After 5 days of pondering and weighing of possibilities, interests and priorities, I joined touch rugby. I am really really sad that I didn't pick canoe because I personally think that it'd affect my studies because they train almost everyday. I was thinking about how good the team experience would be because I can really see it in the current J2 team and we'll get to train together and go for the big competitions together.
It's not that I don't like touch; I just would have preferred the canoeing experience, if not for the heavy trainings. I didn't wanna neglect serving God in church either... Of course, I'm sure touch rugby will be a really fulfilling experience too and I'm sure God will make RJC life very meaningful for me, short as it may be.
I just wanna say thanks to all those who gave me advice on my choices and to whom I could talk to and receive really mature opinions from (:
On a lighter note, RProject auds that day were pretty unnerving! I didn't realise my eyes were looking downward till the teacher said, "Look straight!" I think I must have been worried about losing my balance in those heels -.-
OH YEAHHH tomorrow's Take 5! Whoo!!

These few days in school have been pretty slack. We go to school at 7 but hang around for hours on end just to attend 1 or 2 lectures a day. The worst part is waking up early! Heh.
Canoeing land trial (the real one) on Thursday was tiring. A lot of PT stuff. But I managed to finish my 2.4 in a faster time than my previous years' NAPFA timings. :D Haha. Went for touch rugby second round on Saturday morning too.
And now I am in this dilemma of whether to join canoe or touch rugby. I get almost equal responses from the people I ask, but I think I am kinda deviating towards canoe. Becky called me just now because she was also in a similar dilemma. AH. HOWWW! I really need God's guidance in this.
Captain's Ball today after church was fun! Although I wasn't there for the announcement of which team won the Starbucks voucher! Rawr. And today the ball kept slipping out of my hands I don't know why. Haha.
Breakfast with MT 02 tomorrow. I'd actually very much like to sleep 'cause of protected time, but I think it's not so often we'll get to spend much time with our OG when the work starts pouring in!

G'alvea 2010 was really, really a BLAST, in Gwyneth's words. It was really an amazing experience, and I will hold to the memories for a very long time to come. To think that 21 very different people could come together and have so much to take away from our entire experience together is really quite awesome, don't you think?
I have made many friends in Ge'tMeAFilet-O-FishStudentMealUpsizeChangeCokeToSprite (haha!) and here's to getting to know each other even better and not just be hi-bye friends but friends who can confide in each other and see each other through our entire RJ life.
We the coolz.

Jerald is a really accurate camwhore, srsly!

MT 02! WHOOHOO! I must say, our dress-up was really awesome shizz. It kicked ass!

公公婆婆!Haha :D

G'alvea 2010 (:

Our OG got the Best Chemistry award! :D :D

Check this outtt.

Jerald, Lisa and Andrea, who put in so much effort into making MT 02 such an awesome OG to be in! They really put in a lot of time and hard work into making stuff for us and really, all the OGLs did a great great job (:

And so concludes Orientation '10. I hope my class and HP will not disappoint! (:
